We are the first and original producer of freeze dried sweets and candies in South Africa and our factory is based in Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa.

Although freeze dried products are known to be good for up to 25 years; as this is a new product the shelf life is set at 6-months. This will gradually be increased as time literally moves on.
Freeze Drying is a type of drying method used to remove moisture from products typically for long term preservation of up to 25 years without the need for refrigeration. The technical term is called lyophilization. Simply stated, freeze dried products are made using very cold temperatures and vacuum pressure. Using sophisticated computer controlled machinery, we are able to produce weird and wonderful (and sometimes) unbelievable new sweet delights and creations, that are incredibly light and are melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Great question! Dehydration and Freeze-drying both seek to remove moisture from food, however the methods are vastly different. Dehydrators use heat to evaporate water, whereas Freeze drying uses vacuum freezing (a process called sublimation) to gently remove water, without damaging the products. Freeze Drying produces a vastly superior product, in taste, texture, nutritional value and shelf life over conventional dehydration methods.

In rare circumstances, a website timeout may occur between our site and that of our payment provider. When this happens, you may get confirmation of payment (from our payment provider), but not an order confirmation (from us).

Once we have received your payment, as a general guideline, we require 1-2 working days to process (pick and pack) your order.
Thereafter depending of whether you've elected Standard (economy) shipping or Priority shipping, the courier company will require the following amount of time to deliver your order:

We offer free shipping (within main South African metropolitan areas) on orders over a certain value.

We provide door to door courier shipping regionally throughout South Africa.
Yes, we ship thoughout South Africa to main centres using door-to-door courier services. Should you not be in a main centre, we would still like to make sure you enjoy our products, so please CONTACT US for us to see how we can assist you.
No – we use courier services and they cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
We are registered exporter and can ship to most international countries. Please CONTACT US to get a quotation on shipping.
We will quote shipping separately on bulk orders.
Qualified refunds will be processed on conclusion of an investigation into any lost parcel.
Unfortunately, we don’t take products back due to the fact that it is a food product and there is a safety aspect that prohibits us from being able to accept the products back.

Unfortunately, freeze dried products only last up to 25 years - so shipping with SA Post Office is not possible!
